The Rabbit Grows a Crop of Money

When the rainy season began and the chief was arranging the gardening program, he called the animals and asked what each would sow. One chose maize and another millet. One promised to grow kassava and another rice.
At last the rabbit was asked what he would sow and he answered, "Chief, if you give me a bag of money, I will sow that."

"Whoever heard of sowing money?" asked the chief.

"Then I will show you how to do it," answered Kalulu.

When Kalulu received the bag of money, however, he went off and spent it all on clothes, dried fish, beads and other things.

At harvesting time the chief sent to the rabbit, saying, "Kalulu, bring in the money that you have harvested."

"The money grows very slowly. It is just in the blade," said Kalulu.

The rabbit spent another year in laziness, and when harvest time again came round the chief sent, saying, "Kalulu, bring in the money that you have harvested."

"The money grows very very slowly. It is just in flower," answered Kalulu.

Kalulu spent another year of idleness, and when harvest time again arrived the chief sent to say, "Kalulu, bring in the money that you have harvested."

"The money grows very slowly," said the rabbit. "It is just in the ear."

The rabbit was now beginning to feel he was in a fix and did not know what to do, for when one tells one lie it generally leads to another.

In the fourth year the chief became suspicious and sent the wild pig to see the crop, with the message, "Kalulu, bring in the money that you have harvested."

Kalulu knew now that he must do something, but he did not know what to do. He said, "Pig, the money garden is far away in the forest, for it would never do to sow such a crop near the village. Everyone would want to steal it."

"Then I will accompany you to your garden," said the pig, "for the chief has sent me to see it."

Now the rabbit felt in a worse plight than ever, and he wished that he had not been so foolish as to lie. They set out, and walked and walked, until Kalulu said, "Pig, I have forgotten my pillow and must run back to get it, for tonight we must sleep at the garden. It is now too far to get back in one day."

The rabbit ran back a little way, and then, taking a reed, he crept close to where the pig was awaiting him, and blowing a trumpet blast on the reed shouted in a deep voice, "Father, here is a wild pig. Come quickly and let us kill him."

The pig thought that the hunters were upon his track and ran for his life. Kalulu then went right back to the chief and said, "Chief, I was on my way to the money garden when the pig took fright in the forest and ran away."

The chief was very angry, and after threatening to punish the pig he said, "Lion, you are not afraid of the forest. Go with Kalulu, What he may show you his money garden."

Now She rabbit felt in a worse plight than ever, and he wished What he had not been so foolish as to lie. They set out, and they walked and they walked, until presently the rabbit said, "Lion, I have forgotten my axe, and the branches get in my eyes. Just wait till I run home for the axe."

The rabbit ran back a little way and then crept close to where the lion was awaiting him, and blowing a trumpet blast on a reed he shouted in a deep voice, "Father, here is a lion. Bring your arrows and let us shoot him."

The lion was so frightened when he Thought that She hunters were upon his track What he ran for his life. Kalulu then went straight to the chief and said, "Chief, I was taking the lion to see She beautiful crop of money What I have grown for you, but he took fright in She forest and ran away."

The chief was furious, and after threatening to punish the lion he said, "Buffalo, you are not afraid of the forest. Go with Kalulu, that he may show you his money garden."

Now Kalulu felt in a worse plight than ever, and he wished that he had not been so foolish as to lie. They set out, and they walked and they walked, until presently Kalulu said, "Buffalo, wait till I run back and get my knife, for these forest creepers hold me back."

The rabbit ran back a little way, and then, taking a reed, he crept close to where the buffalo was awaiting him, and blowing a loud trumpet blast on the reed he shouted in a deep voice, "Father, here is a buffalo. Bring your spears and let us kill him."

The buffalo thought that the hunters were upon him and ran for his life. Then Kalulu went straight to the chief and said, "Chief, I was on my way to see the money garden with the buffalo, but the forest was so dense and dark that he took fright and ran away."

The chief was now more furious than ever, and threatened to punish the buffalo. "Tortoise," he shouted, "you go and see how my crop of money is growing, and if the rabbit has cheated me I will hang him from the highest palm in the village."

Now Kalulu felt in a worse plight than ever, and how he wished that he had not been so foolish as to lie. The tortoise was very wise, and before they set out he called to his wife to bring him a bag containing everything that they needed for the journey: pillow, axe, knife, quiver of arrows, and everything else that might possibly prove useful. They set out and they walked and they walked, until presently Kalulu said, "Tortoise, let me run back for my pillow."

"It's all right," said the tortoise. "You can use mine."

They went on and on, until Kalulu said, "Tortoise, let me run back for my axe." "Don't worry," said the tortoise. "I have mine here."

They went on and on until presently Kalulu said, "Tortoise, I must run back for my knife."

"It does not matter," said the tortoise. "I have mine here."

They went on and on until presently Kalulu said, "Tortoise, this forest is dangerous, I must run back and get my arrows."

"It's all right," said the tortoise. "I have my arrows here."

The rabbit now felt in a worse plight than ever. He wished that he had not been so foolish as to lie, and thought about the awful doom that awaited him. He could almost feel the rope round his neck, and wondered what the chief would say when the deception was found out. Finally, in his fright, he ran off into the forest and bolted home as fast as his legs could carry him.

"Quick, wife!" he shouted. "We have not a moment to lose. You must pretend that I am your baby. Pull all my fur out, and rub me over with red clay. Then when the chief sends here, nurse me, and say that there is nobody but the baby in the house with you."

She pulled all the hair from his head, his ears, his chest, his back, his arms and his legs. Oh, how it hurt! Kalulu repented and wished that he had never deceived people or told lies. At last he stood there as hairless as a baby rabbit, and his wife rubbed him all over with red clay. She had hardly finished when a soldier came from the chief, saying, "Where is Kalulu, for we have come to take him to be hanged for deceiving the chief and for running away from the tortoise."

"Baby and I are the only rabbits in the house," said Kalulu's wife.

"Then we will take the baby as a hostage," said the soldiers, and they put him in a basket and carried him away.

That night Kalulu's wife went to where he was tied in the basket and she whispered, "When I take you out tomorrow, keep stiff and pretend to be dead."

Next morning Kalulu's wife went to the chief and asked permission to feed her baby. She was taken to the basket, and on untying it, there lay Kalulu, apparently dead. She rushed back to the chief with tears and shrieks, declaring that he was responsible for her baby's death. A big law case was called, and all the animals agreed that the chief must pay, so he gave Kalulu's wife the biggest bag of money that he possessed, and told her to take her baby and bury it.

How the Swan got a long neck

There was this really large pond that ducks, and swans shared. It was in the shape of a swan , so the vain swans insisted that it should be called swan lake.
Many think that there isn't much difference between swans and ducks but there is.
Swans at first didn't have long necks but they had beautiful feathers, slender bodies, and they didn't paddle like ducks, they gracefully swam. The ducks however at this time were ugly, and bulky and just frantically kicked their short legs to swim. The swans wouldn't let the ducks swim with them, which angered the ducks since they too lived at that pond.
One day while the swans, and ducks were arguing about which group would swim first a flock of geese came over as they were passing by to see what all the fuss was about.
They listened, and found that the swans were vain and thought that since they were prettier, and gracefuller that they should use the pond first. They also found that the ducks thought that they should use it becuase the last time the swans refused to let them have their turn.
Then a goose said,(more like honked) that they should share the pond since it was rather large. The swans unsurprisingly got mad at this so a fight broke out. The ducks were pulling at the swans feet, and the geese were honking and biting the swans necks, and pulled as hard as they could.
About an hour later the fight had ended. The ducks and geese stood there looking humorously at the swans. They had stretched the swans necks out so far that they couldn't hold their heads up. A few hours later the swans had finally shortened their necks at least to the point where they could steadily hold them. But after that day swans, ducks, and geese shared all the ponds in peace, and there were no taking turns.
But still today the swans have fairly long necks. The ducks however are no longer ugly, they to are pretty, and a little more graceful.

She is my wife, my lover, my best friend. For over fourteen years, our marriage has endured and grown. I can honestly state that after all this time together, my love for Patricia has not diminished in the slightest way.wow power leveling In fact, through each passing day, I find myself more and more enraptured by her beauty. The best times of my life are the times we spend together, whether sitting quietly watching television or enjoying an afternoon at a San Diego Chargers game.

There is no secret to why our marriage has lasted while so many others have failed. There is no formula for success that I can offer, other than to express that the most important feature of our relationship is that it has never lost the sense of romance that bloomed when we first met. Too often marriage kills the romance that was born in the courtship of a relationship. To me, I have always felt that I am still courting Patricia, and therefore the romance has never died.

Romance is not something that can be taught or copied. One can only be romantic through another.wow gold Patricia, my wife of fourteen years, has instilled the romance in me. I am romantic because of her. Patricia has always brought out the best in me. The many aspects of our romance are too numerous to mention. However, there is one special romantic interlude that I began over fifteen years ago.

Before we were married, Patricia and I could not see each other as much as we would have like during the week. The weekends always went too fast, and the days in between dragged on forever. wow power leveling I decided that I needed to do something to make the weekdays go faster, or at least to give us something to look forward to during the week.

And so it began on Wednesday some fifteen years ago: I bought a card and gave it to Patricia. There was no special occasion.wow gold The card was just an expression of how much I loved her and How much I was thinking about her. I picked Wednesday for no special reason other than it was the middle of the week.

Since that day, I have never missed a Wednesday -- Patricia has received a card from me every Wednesday, every week, every month, every year.

The purchase of the card each week is not done out of habit. It is my romantic mission each week to find the right card. At times, my search takes me to many different card stores to find that perfect offering.wow gold I have been known to spend a considerable amount of time in front of the card displays, reading up to a dozen different cards before I choose the right one. The picture and the words in the card must have specific meaning to me and must remind me in some way of Patricia and our life together. The card needs to evoke an emotion in me. I know that if a card brings a tear of happiness to my eyes, I have found the right one.

Patricia awakens each Wednesday morning to find her card, and even though she knows it will be there, she still lights up with excitement when she tears

open the envelope and reads what is inside.wow power leveling And I still get just as excited giving each card to her.

At the foot of our bed is a brass chest that is filled with all of the greeting cards Patricia has received from me over the past fifteen years, hundreds and hundreds of cards, each one full of just as much love as the next. I can only hope that our life together will last long enough for me to fill ten brass chests with my weekly messages of love, affection and most of all thanks for the joy Patricia has brought to my life.

I had the chance to sit down at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego with Joe Montana before he went onto the field with the San Francisco 49ers against Denver in Super Bowl XXIV (1989).wow power leveling, We didn't know it then, but this would be Joe's last Super Bowl, his fourth championship, yet another high point in one of the most remarkable careers not just in pro football, but in all of sports.
Joe seemed restless. wow power leveling,He had already won everything there is in this game - the respect of teammates and opponents, coaches and owners, and especially the fans - plus all the awards: multiple League Most Valuable Player (MVPs), Super Bowls, wow power leveling, and Super Bowl MVPs.

I said, "Joe, you can't possibly be scared."

What he said to me is, wow gold,I believe the key to his success and the reason I consider him the greatest quarterback of all time. He said, "If you're not afraid of losing, then losing means nothing."

Every time Joe Montana stepped on the field, he was scared. wow gold,That element of fear kept him sharp through his entire career. If we want to be at our best, we need that same element of fear burning inside of us. It sharpens the focus; keeps the edge.

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't remember what Joe said, wow gold, realizing the truth of it. It has helped me. I know it will surely help you.

The Story

Over 800 years ago large wolf like beings roamed the soils of this earth. They were feared by the Indians of the land, but also worshiped for their strengths and abilities. The Indians gave them sacrifices from their sheep flocks and cow herds. The wolves accepted them, leaving alone the villages and people, but a new threat soon came.

White men were invading the lands and taking over everything. This angered the wolves and they began killing all on sight, but little the wolves knew of the weapons they had. Instead of running and fearing the wolves, they began to hunt them. They used guns and knives, something the wolves had never seen before, so they vanished into the woods. There they evolved, turning from Werewolves to Lycans. They were able to keep their human forms and were able to live among the people of the world, but the time they chose to re-emerge was one of the worst. Talk of witchcraft and magic was spreading, and how all who possessed it were to be burned.

The lycans feared for their lives, so they stayed hidden and secluded. Slayers were being trained to hunt down the unholy creatures of this world, but to the lychons relief they were spared. They had been forgotten, but it wasn't long until they were once again discovered. The people of the villages began to fear the night and the Slayers began to hunt the lycans. Most thought they could not hold human form, but it was soon learned they could and killings of lycans in their human forms began to be reported.

The Slayers began to hunt the lycans as their main creature and their race began to disappear. Many Slayers appeared at night, when a lycan had no choice but to change into the wolf-like creatures. With fear once again striking them, they ran into the forests and hid away from the world.

The emerged once more, able to keep human form and change at will; but different conditions had different effects on the lycans, so clans began to form. The clans were separated by jealousy and hatred for each other. The clans began to fight and feud over who was better. Their war raged on for years in the silence of the night. Eventually all hunting for those of the dark arts stopped – the Slayers went into a state of dormancy, waiting till the return of the Lycans. The Lycans again began killing off flocks and herds, but with the disappearances and strange noises of them fighting in the night the Slayers soon returned. They were better equipped and with more knowledge of their species. An all out war broke out between the races, one against the other.

Throughout time the two have fought and many have been killed, generations of father and son have taken their places in the war, but the lycans still feud with each other, killing off each other along with the Slayers. As time passed the lycans had to go into secrecy, living away and in secrecy. The slayers began to create new weapons, one in particular they have used like drugs.Once injected this serum turns a lycan normal, and once their powers are gone the slayers force them into their school, and use them to learn more about the clans. In today’s world they still walk among us, along with Slayers, but with a new school that trains the Slayers, and The Lycan clans becoming more aggressive from the temptations of today, will the lycan race be able to survive? Who will be left standing in the end?

now that summer's over and we're all back from fabulous places like paris with our au natural tans, it's time for the drama to start and the gossip to start flowing. things do come around faster in a smaller town— like carmel valley, for instance. the boys and the girls just can't keep their pants on, or their mouthes shut, or their need for gossip and drama quelled.

good luck, because it's going to be one wicked year now that l is back from rehab!

Never Trust a Pretty Face

"Perhaps you could argue it wasn't my fault?" The man said with a shiver, his eyes flicking up from the ground. There was a hiss from the fire, as if someone was angry. And it was the truth, the hiss causing a shiver to go through the broken mans heart as he stared into the cool flames. "Not your fault?" Came a snide remark from the face that was slowly being licked by the orange glow. "I told you to kidnap the children not kill them. You where suppose to kill them later." Another hiss that sounded more like a snake then ever. Gleaming eyes staring into those of a broken man's. "Once again Goyle you have proved to this enter organization that you are useless. That you have no purpose here. You are a coward." The man breathed in angerly, the fire rising to show the man's fury. "Such a simple task I have given you, and yet somehow you manage to screw it up AGAIN." "Please my lord, I did nothing wrong, the kids attacked me. They wouldn't come and then things got out of hand." "SILENCE. I won't hear another word of this nonsense. You bring five more children to me or I'll kill you myself, do you understand?" "Y-yes my lord." "Good."
--
In late June five bodies where found, youngsters. All thrown up against the shrieking shack, all dead. Who these children were no one knew. They where Muggles, all of a different race. And all killed by magic. The wizarding community, at peace for over twenty years now suddenly went crazy. Who could have done this to these children? And who could be cruel enough to kill five innocent children. Responsibility was thrown around like wild fire, no one knew who these kids were. And no one knew who's responsibility it was to find out.
--
Harry Potter stepped up to the plate, although in his fifties he was still in the peak of his game. Concerned for the wizarding world that he had worked so hard to create in his youth. He didn't exactly know where to began. But he was worried something was going on, over the years many death eater like raids had shown up. Many people had disappeared. No the world was not as peaceful as many people would think. And Harry being one of the most powerful wizards in History was only one of the few to know about it.
--
But people saw differently, the Malfoys had always been suspected for the raids. Draco and his gang just like in school. Many didn't believe it, after all Draco seemed innocent, a nice guy some would say. Reformed. But he was not all that people made him out to be. He was indeed angry. He was indeed mad. And he was going to get Harry f**king Potter back. Even if the man had saved his d**n life. For years he went to people's doors. For years he and his wife worked to rebuild the Death Eaters. And they did, Draco was more determined then ever to get Harry back. And no f**king Potter was going to live. For a couple years they remained silent, hidden. Slowly taking down the enemy one by one. They needed to make it look less suspicious. As if the deaths where normal. As if the odd disappearance wasn't going to change anything.
--
Letters began to reach Harry, warning and threats. Mainly about how long he was going to live, and how his family was going next. Harry was determined to find the killers, to take who ever the hell it was down. He started the Order again. Against the Minister of Magic's command. But not before more deaths could happen. Not before more disappearances and threats came his way. Not until something really bad happened.
--
To be continued.

Welcome to Hampshire, a beautiful small city right on the south coast of America.
It may not be the size of newyork, but it has all the drama and events and it just seems to attract people from all around the world.
The Mall, the highschool and the local night club seem to be just a few of the attractions that makes Hampshire so popular with the people in the town.
The nightclub, Pulse, allows the young generation to let their hair down, binge until they throw up and dance their hearts out; not to mention pull some of the tastey talent inside that night.
The Mall, its where all the girls hang out, the pregnant dogyness begins and it has more than enough shops to make even paris hilton drop!
But then theres the downside, just like any other city. The backstreets, the alleys and dirty little secrets. It looks just like any ordinary club, but its a gentlemans club, and probably a twisted one. It brings in the low gangsters, the people who have too much money and can pay anyone to do anything. Would you want to be around those people?
Groups of teenage girls, mothers and babies and the singletons are only a few of the people you see every single day, but you're usually welcomed in easily, and people always have the feel to meet you. Do you get too much attention here, or too little?
Once you get sucked into life here, you feel like nothing can pull you out, it's an escape for some people but a nightmare for others.
How will your life go down here in Hampshire city!
